I'm trying to learn some more about him.

So what do all of you Angel experts know about him? I hear good things, but I've never seen him play.

His ceiling? Value in a keeper league?

easiest way to compare him to anyone in the pros right now is rickie weeks...except that he will hit for a better avg...

some scouts believe that kendrick will win batting titles in his prime...while he is an easy canidate for 20/20 seasons year in and year out...he currently has a 16 game hitting streak...and could have position eligibilty in all the IF spots except SS...

his ceiling is limited in the fact that everyone knows hes not gonna be a 40HR type of power hitter...but 20+ HRs and 20+ SBs are gonna be there...i expect him to steal more then 20 bags if given a full season...maybe around the 40-50 range if you consider how much he will be on base with a .300+ avg...

he should be the angels 2 hole hitter in the near future...

I traded Crawford with the idea of keeping Kendrick. I figured outfielders are plentiful, but great 2bs are rare, plus I'm in a title run and trading Crawford allowed me to fill some holes and I already has steal guys... It was that or trade Pujols or Migggy Cabrera and that ain't happening.

I think in his prime, which will start in 2008 at the latest, Kendrick will be a 25/25 guy (maybe more steals) and a VERY HIGH average (will challenge for batting titles), hitting 3rd in a very strong lineup. It's always a gamble but that's my guess. Maybe less #s than Crawford, but considering position scarcity, those are awesome #s at the 2b slot.
