Does anyone know any rumors that he's placed on waivers and some team picked him up ????

ESPN's Buster Olney says Andruw Jones has been claimed on waivers, though he doesn't know by which team.

This whole thing isn't much of a story. Jones can be traded to whichever team claimed him, but the only players the Braves could get in return are prospects not on the 40-man roster or players who fall to them on waivers. There's almost no way that they'd get the kind of talent they want in return for Jones in a waiver deal.

They are just making drama out of something that is not there.

Jones placed on waivers, like the rest of the league. A team wins claiming him. ESPN thinks Jones' current contract position makes him likely to be talked about trading to the team instead of withdrawn from waivers. But it's just a bunch of speculation.

If the Braves were serious about trading Andruw Jones it would have been before July 31st. They could re-explore that option in the off-season but I think there is little to no chance that Jones will be moved prior to Aug 31st.
