Hoffman WILL NOT be closing this year accoring to ESPN.

The San Diego papers note that Hoffman will be used every third day -- if its not Hoffman's day to pitch, Beck will close.

If it's Day Three, Hoffman will close.

For all intents and purposes, best to consider SD a closer-by committee situation
