If I wanted to drop lyrics from a song and just keep the music and put other lyrics to it from another song (kinda like JayZ did with Linkin Park, but I can do it on my computer) is there a free program to do that? If not, is there a pay program out there? What is the best. I want to mix music like that/blend endings and intro's kinda like the Open House Party show does. Thanks in advance.

kind of off the subject, but i went to see DJ Shadow once and he had some guy open for him that kept promising that he'd plays some stuff "like we never heard before". he then would proceed to play Sober by Tool and some rap song at the same time...and then anothe rock song at the same time as a rap song...it was redicilious...it wasnt in sync or nothing, just playing too songs at the same time...i just kept thinking, "yeah, never heard anything like that...probably a good reason"

Audacity is the most popular freeware audio editing software out there. I think for Macs, Apple's Garageband does audio editing? And I tried out Sony's Acid Pro about a year ago and, although complex, it had amazing capabilities and could do almost everything you wanted it to.
