Ok wrong forum I know but I dislike the football side, just seems too cluttered for me. Just made this one up and was looking for some feedback. Props to chargersfan for the Urlacher cut, I got lazy.

The pic effect is solid and I think I prefer the bg on v1 more but I'm not feeling either text. Try a more bolder font and change the orange border to white.
yeah i dont think the bg change matters too much but i do like the colors in V.2 better. Im feelin the orange border tho. looks nice. the pic does stand out of the sig in terms of texture, but i dont know if thats a problem or not. in one aspect, its good. makes the player the focus for sure, but from the other, it doesnt make the sig look "smoove" if that makes any sense. either way these are all small critiques, and overall its a very nice sig. nice work again smoove.
If you gonna put the chicago bears part, then you need to make all the text bigger. But if you just put his name, maybe you could try reflecting the text down and gradienting it to make it look sleeker. just a thought. try it and see how it looks maybe. im no text expert but you could give it a shot
Mess around with... blending options, duplicated layers, blending modes, fill, opacity, layer masks (then brush in black to erase), white brushing on overlay, black brushing on overlay, lighting effects.. Also looking sigs with good text really helps to get ideas.
