He could have come off the DL today, does anyone know when he will actually be back?

And what does everyone make of the Lugo trade? I imagine Kent will be in the lineup if he is healthy.

I'm thinking of dropping Kent. I have to decide between him & Marcus Giles when Kent comes off the DL, and Kent has done nothing this year to prove he's gonna stay healthy.

I just dropped Kent and picked up Marcus Giles. His batting avg usually ends up somewhere between .290 and .300. Hes only at .257 now so i see a lot of upside to having him for the rest of the season. I've been waiting on Kent all year but now i finally gave up.

Lugo at 2B ... when Nomar comes back for 1B Kent will be the odd man out, spot duty and pinch-hitting. Update from RotoWire:

Jeff Kent: Out Longer Than Expected
RotoWire.com Staff - RotoWire.com

Update: Kent (oblique) is now unlikely to return this weekend as he still feels pain when performing normal daily functions, reports the team's official site.

Recommendation: It's been a full month (July 3) since Kent originally suffered the injury. He was finally placed on the disabled list on July 18 and while he was eiligible to be activated on Wednesday (August 2), it's likely he'll be out at least another week or more.

Looks like Kent will be off the DL sooner than expected.....

From Yahoo:

Aug 5 Kent (oblique) may be ready to return as early as Monday, reports the team's official site.

Recommendation: "He said he feels like he's ready to go. He's been talking about [returning] the last couple of days. If it's not by Monday, he'll probably come in the office with a shotgun, and it won't be a casual conversation" said manager Grady Little. It appears safe to activate Kent for the upcoming fantasy week.
