how much are they paying him?
No way!! They're doing cartwheels right now. He is walking away from baseball AND the $$. I believe that he is owed like $12 million and he is walking away from it. While it was a calculated risk and the Texans will certainly get more for him than the 6th round pick that he cost them, I don't think they will get a great return for him. Even though he would have been a top 10 pick had he come out for the draft, he won't fetch that in a trade although if the Texans sign him, it will be for a very small amount because they don't have much room under the cap. Good move for the Texans, though. I just hope that, for their sake, he doesn't take the rest of the year off, train, and get ready for next year's draft.
