but Drew Hensen is finally going to go play football. After the end of the season I believe, he's quiting baseball for football. It's about time he gave up, seeing his stats every month of like a .210 batting average have been sickening. Source: ESPNEWS on TV
Took him long enough to figure out that baseball just wasn't for him.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

No way!! They're doing cartwheels right now. He is walking away from baseball AND the $$. I believe that he is owed like $12 million and he is walking away from it. While it was a calculated risk and the Texans will certainly get more for him than the 6th round pick that he cost them, I don't think they will get a great return for him. Even though he would have been a top 10 pick had he come out for the draft, he won't fetch that in a trade although if the Texans sign him, it will be for a very small amount because they don't have much room under the cap. Good move for the Texans, though. I just hope that, for their sake, he doesn't take the rest of the year off, train, and get ready for next year's draft.

Yea, it's not the Yankees that are pissed, its the Michigan fans. Trust me. <img src=/forums/images/smiles/kiss.gif>
The Yankees are going to save a bundle thanks to this, and the Texans scored big time. I'm not sure how it's all going to work out for them, as I read they don't have very much money available to sign him. Odds are they sign him to an incentive-heavy contract (a la Ricky Williams) and then trade him to some team desperate for a QB.
