why is he getting no mention anywhere? aside from 2 horrendous outings earlier in the season, he has been excellent in every start. i realize he had a bit of a tough outing, but 6 innings with 4 er and 10 K against the mets is pretty solid. I know he was a touted prospect which leads me to believe he is legit, but i have never watched him throw and no one talks about him on here so i have no idea what to make of him.

so to anyone who was watched him throw, what do they think, and otherwise how do you feel about him in the future?

check out the consistency of this guy, who has only given up more than 3 runs 3 times (cards, atlanta, mets).

I basically just traded Tim Hudson for him. I think the kid is the real deal... and nobody can argue with his K numbers.

exactly, when he fully mature(mentally, not physically) he'll be great

he'll be a fantasy stud in year or two.

If he can harness his stuff just a little (50 BBs in 115 IP :-P

) he stands a chance to be really really good. I mean he's only given up 97 hits in those same 115 IP, while striking out 111!

Plus (I just found out) he was born on the same day I was, so how can you complain! ;-D

Seriously though, he's solid.

so in a 9 team league where each team keeps 2 rookies (from this year or last) is he a viable option against the likes of:

Jeff Francis

Josh Johnson

Ervin Santana

Jered Weaver

Dan Uggla

Jeff Francouer

Curtis Granderson

Howie Kendrick

Josh Barfield

Brian McCann

Huston Street

and yes, i sold my soul to the devil to acquire rookies.

also, if this is now in the wrong forum i apologize and please feel free to move it, although im still just looking for opinions on Olsen.
