Maybe it's that the Angels game is more important, being a division game, and they want their best start against Lackey to try and win thee first game of the series

they had announced kip was going to start early yesterday.

i dont think its that they think padilla needs to be pushed back, but this is kip wells normal pitching day, and kip is returning from injury and needs to keep it moving i think.

padilla has been pitching all year, and has responded well to an extra day of rest. plus the angels games are more important.

i dont think the arrest has anything to do with it because that was back in ealry july, although the rangers did just find out about it.

back in early july he got arrested on "suspricion of a DWI"

but was not over the legal limit, and the police specifically said he was never intoxicated while operating a motor vehicle.

so im not sure why they arrested him, they didnt say wreckless driving or anything, but thats what happened.

the problem might be that padilla has a history of drinking problems and didnt tell the rangers about the incident, they only found out like 2 days ago.

ah, I see. Thanks for filling between the lines, dshepard.

So I guess if you are arrested and you don't tell your team, you get to face Lackey :-b O:-) That'll teach him, I guess !+)
