Jose Reyes (SS) NY-N 9/1/2003
Reyes (sprained left ankle) was re-examined by Mets physician Andrew Rokito on Monday, who has scheduled an MRI exam for Tuesday, and has advised Reyes not to play for at least the next three weeks, according to WFAN. A second set of X-Rays on Monday also came up negative for any broken bones and the MRI is scheduled to confirm the original Grade 2 sprain diagnosis. Look for the Mets to be extremely cautious and sit down Reyes for the rest of the year.
Since there's only 4 weeks left, I doubt he'll be back. In a non-keeper league, he should now be dumped.
If the Mets were seriously in a pennant race, he would probably come back in a few days. With them totally out of it, there's no reason to rush it at all. Besides, most of his fantasy usefulness is from steals, and he wouldn't likely be stealing on a bad ankle anyway, so would be useless to you even if he plays through it.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
