Not to go all Chicken Little on Liriano, but doesn't his injury sound similar to Prior and Wood when they first starting missing starts. "Oh, its just the forearm, nothing big, don't worry." I'm worried this might not be an isolated incident. I sincerely hope I'm wrong, but he is not used to a full year and isn't ready for it. I know we all love him, but somebody had to say it. If they don't baby him a little here, he may end up in PriorandWoodland.

That Radke was able to last eight innings tonight means that Mike Smith will be held in reserve to start Sunday.

Not looking good for a Sunday start, especially since there was an newspaper article quoting Liriano as saying he'd be ready to go on Monday.

I still say Sunday is more logical, being that it would have been Baker's start had he not been demoted. Of course, I'm sure MIN would rather use Liriano against Detroit instead of KC, too.

Sportsline has readjusted his start and moved it back to Monday against Detriot and then Sat against Toronto

If Sportsline says he'll go on Monday, then you can pretty much bank on him starting Sunday.

this is where the real world differs from Fantasy...I'd put money on him starting v. Detroit if someone else is ready to go Sunday.

You have the best pitcher in baseball do you:
A) start him vs. the worst team in baseball
B) wait 1 day and start him vs. the 1st place team you are chasing...

hmmm....tough question....

yeah they have to start him against DET on Monday, the only thing that would make sense, and a 2 start week is nice

Yeah, I agree with throwing him vs. Detroit. I think any one of us would have a decent shot if we took the hill against KC with a good line-up workin' for us.

so many conflicting reports about sunday or monday....for what it's worth, the twins official website has him slotted in to pitch sunday....but i think after his bullpen session today, we'll know more about which day...
