Do you honestly believe that? It screams coachspeak. Pennant race or not, I can't see a manager running his star young pitcher out there when he's hurt. He's not a veteran who's done this before...he's a rookie who has had some arm problems before.

I can live with him missing a start (even though it might cost me my H2H this week) so long as I can count on him being healthy and dominant come fantasy playoffs time - sounds like this is just a precaution, like they did when they bumped Jer Weaver from a 2 start week after the break into just 1.

A Sunday start is more logical, as it would've been Baker's turn in the rotation and he's since been demoted. Might as well get your #1 horse back out there again as soon as possible. Monday, which would've been Liriano's anyway, will be Bonser's turn again if he stays in the rotation.

Yahoo and CBS both show Liriano's next start as Sunday @KC, instead of Monday @DET.

I noticed that too - if he does start against KC Sunday, he may save my H2H matchup this week - although his being a 2 starter would have been nice for the following week......... :-?
