How is the playing time going to be divvied up on the left side of the Rays infield? Is Guzman going to get a chance to play? I saw a recommendation that he should be picked up in all formats. What about Upton?
"The government cannot give to anyone anything that it does not first take from someone else"
Living in Tampa, I heard on the radio that Upton and Zobrist will both be called up and they will mix and match with Tomas Perez at short and occasionally Branyan at third.
Guzman will be sent to AAA.
Basically I'm complicated.
I have a hard time taking the easy way
I wouldn't call it schizophrenia
But Ill be at least two people today
Like most have said, Guzman will be going to Durham in AAA. He needs more time and I wouldn't recommend picking him up, though he could get a Sept. call up. They are going to try him mainly at the corner INF spots, eventually I think he will find his spot at 1B. Zobrist will be at SS and Upton at 3B for pretty much the rest of the year as I see it.

I pretty much agree with Hybrid. I think Guzman's future with the Rays will be at one of the CI spots.

Because TB is looking ahead to the future and Travis Lee probably isn't going to be a part of that future and is currently putting up a whopping .642 OPS. But since Guzman isn't quite ready for the major leagues, Lee's probably safe for at least another month.
I saw the Tiger game on TV last night, and Upton made some very nice plays. I definitely see the potential for him if he can ever get those high error totals he has had in the minors under control.
