Just a stat that I looked up for no real reason...but I found it interesting...

Easter....The Cubs lost to the Pirates and Sammy was hit in the head....

Mothers Day...The Cubs and the Cards were playing..8 HR and Eli Marrero got hurt...game called in the fourth inning...thus Tuesdays double header...

Fathers Day....Loss to Toronto...Estes Pitched...

Memorial Day....10-0 Loss to the Pirates...Wood Pitched...

July 4th.... Cards won 11-8...Wood pitched again....

Labor Day...Prior is pitching...maybe it is just coincidence...maybe its a holiday curse....

just something to think about.... :-/

I know you will get on me for this :-o , but those stats are making Woody Williams's start against the Cubs look very nice. ;-)

HEY NOW!! FYI for all the debates on this subject.... IT's COOLER , wet and dreary here and the wind will be blowing in. I would start BOTH pitchers in the Chi v Stl matchup. ;-D
