PER FANBALL:
THE NEWS
After missing two games because of tendinitis in his wrist, White Sox designated hitter Jim Thome sat out of Tuesday's game with back spasms. Chicago hopes to have Thome back in the starting lineup on Wednesday, but he could sit out with an off day on Tuesday to be well rested to face Blue Jays ace Roy Halladay on Friday.
Our View
Thome's recent physical breakdown isn't a very good sign, especially for fantasy teams gearing up for the playoffs. He was obviously limited due to injury last season, so this wouldn't be the first time he was derailed by a physical ailment. Keep watching the situation closely, and it may be time to listen to a few trade offers for the slugger.
