According to fans on the White Sox board, Ozzie is just giving Thome back to back days off to keep him rested & fresh. Especially since they are playing the Royals.

I think the tell tale sign will be if they have a spot for pinch hitter in the game & Thome doesnt come in....then maybe we better start lookin injury.....

Just heard on the game from the Royal's announcers that Thome is not available to play tonight.

Jim Thome is out of the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Royals with right wrist tendinitis.

When Thome sat yesterday, the White Sox claimed it was just a day off. Obviously, that wasn't the case. The club is again using Ross Gload at first base and Paul Konerko at DH tonight. Maybe we'll know more about Thome's condition later this evening.

oh no the Thome curse may get me again this year, last year i wasted my 2nd pick on him(early 2nd) just got him friday for sexson and jered weaver. This could be my biggest blunder of the year.

White Sox trainer Herm Schneider believes Jim Thome will be ready to play Tuesday after getting a cortisone shot for his sore wrist.

If only we could be sure which wrist. The AP says it's the right, while MLB.com reports it's the left. Either way, the White Sox are downplaying the injury. "It's just tendinitis, a lot of swinging, that's all," Schneider said. "It's not a big deal."
