Just a quick heads up that we'll be moving to a new (bigger, better, faster - but what's most important, more beautiful) server. There may be a bit of forum downtime, but hopefully it will be brief, so use it wisely - shave, water those plants (that is, if they survived the 22 months since we last did this), buy beer, or even think about expanding the family (early May is a pretty decent brithday for kids ). I know for a fact that the WebHamster will be eating (after all, there's a winter coming in, what, four months??), so that may be an option as well.
Whatever you're up to, enjoy, and looking forward to seeing you on the other side!

Maybe a day, hopefully shorter. (If you're very unlucky and live on the wrong end of the net, it might actually take two days. ) The way it works is that I change the domain name information first, but keep this forum up, and the database on the new server down. Then, after a day, I shut this one down, move the database and fire up the forum on the new server. That just takes 2 or three hours, but your perceived downtime depends on at which point the domain name servers actually forward you to the new server. If they point you too early, you'll see more downtime early on, if they point you too late, you'll see the forums down after I cut the forums over.
