I assume Craig Wilson will get regular starts for the Yankees in LF, 1B, or DH?

I really don't like Craig Wilson at all and would rather have Chacon, but can't say it's a bad move really since Chacon is doing alot of nothing. I'd rather see Melky start in LF over Wilson until Matsui comes back, but maybe they plan on using Wilson at 1B with Phillips.

got him god awful cheap too...with the Abrue trade getting Lidle helped them get Wilson...with Lidle now in the rotation there was no room for Shawn Chacon so they just gave him to Pitt for Wilson...anyone else think the Yankees once again won this year with the trades...damn...

Chacon has no value left on the team with Lidle and Ponson here now.

I believe Melky will still have consistent playing time with Phillips being the oddman out. Giambi DH, Wilson 1b.

Wilson is a great platoon player and a great bat off the bench. He's a great hitter against lefties and can fill in for Giambi at 1B and Melky in LF until Matsui comes back.

Chacon had no role on the team anymore and hasn't done anything useful. It's a great trade, IMO.
