Oh, excuse me. I'm just looking to see if the Red Sox made any moves today. Any idea?

Waiting..........

Waiting.......

Still waiting.........

:-P

Once again we look like second-class chumps getting sand kicked in our face :-t

It's not like we have a team capable of making the playoffs or anything :-P

Congratulations Yankees, White Sox/Twins, Angels/A's. Your playoff tickets have been punched because the 2006 Boston Red Sox will be sitting at home.

Still waiting......

Actually there's been quite a bit of fantasy-worthy changes made. Maddux, Lugo, Shealy (if they play him), Abreu, Wilson (depending where he fits in), Linebrink...quite a few more. It's been a pretty eventful couple of days.

You don't need to make a trade in order to win. I see the Red Sox making it to the playoffs. We COULD have gotten Andruw Jones but Atlanta asked for too many players (Coco, Lester, Hansen).

After conferring with GM Theo Epstein, Red Sox manager Terry Francona said "nothing has happened and he doesn’t foresee anything happening."

I agree. If the Red Sox got Andruw Jones, that would have been better than getting Abreu (Lidle may or may not be decent on an AL East team). But the price was too much.

It was wise of them to not make that trade, that I agree with.

But they didn't add ANYTHING.

ANYTHING.

Oh sure, they'll get Wells and likely Clement back.

Meanwhile the Yankees added and will add Abreu, Lidle, Wilson, Sheffield, Matsui and Cano.

Well now, I certainly feel MUCH better about our playoff chances now :-P

I'm sick of the damn Wild Card. This was their chance to finally win the damn East for once and all they're going to get to help for the stretch run is Wells and Clement.

Meanwhile Trot's going on the DL, Schill just got bombed and this team is fading fast.

And NOTHING is done.

Yankees didn't even TRY and they got Abreu, Lidle and Wilson.

Wells and Clement :-° :-t

oh relax...even though Boston didn't do ANYTHING, the pig Yank$ still have pitching issues unless you're afraid of that Unit guy or Lidle or Ponson or Jaret Wright. Besides, even if you're down 3-0, you can come back. ;-)
