Hitting fourth and playing regularly. Anyone think he might put up good numbers...aside from the fact his shoes finally fit.
Basically I'm complicated.
I have a hard time taking the easy way
I wouldn't call it schizophrenia
But Ill be at least two people today
If that's OK
And I can go on, and on, and on...
But who cares?

Well he's incredibly streaky, and right now he's making a good amount of contact with the ball. I also think he's got 2 HR in the past week, so it wouldnt shock me to see him go on a power binge right now.
A good #3 OF to play IMO.

He is no sleeper, he is VERY highrisk/high reward. Sure he may play like Barry Bonds circa 2001 for six weeks, as he did the last six weeks of 2004, helping me to move from 8th place in August to an astounding 2nd place finish in a very competitve league. But he might not turn it on at all and you could be stuck with a Caesar Izturis equivalant in your OF. If you are desperate at this point roll the dice, but I would not be comfortable relying on Mench to make or break my season.

Mench is sketchy at best. By the time you notice he's hot and pick him up he won't hit another homerun for 2 months
I'm too lazy to make a sig at the moment

that's pretty much been his M.O. but you never know...a change of scenery (and leagues) may improve his consistency...with the guaranteed playing time and all.

I wouldn't count on anything longer than a few weeks, but I've picked him up--if he's just hitting a hot streak, he'll carry my team for a week or two, then I'll drop him as soon as he cools. I had him for his seven-homers-in-seven-days performance earlier this year, and I'm hoping to catch that lightning again.

He's hit 25 homeruns each season in limited at bats the past 2 years....which means he's 13 homeruns short of his homerun average with 1 1/2 months left to go.....
He's been hitting the ball frequently the past week, a double yesterday and 2 doubles today. I think he's on the verge of a hotstreak and the homeruns will come from the cleanup spot he's in. Someone has to step up with Jenkins out and it should be Mench

correct!!

I grabbed him right after the trade to see if how he adapted to his new home. He'll have his moments, but he is too streaky for my taste. I have since dropped him for R Nolasco.
