Has anyone seen Wu Tang before?

Postby acsguitar » Sun Jul 30, 2006 10:49 pm

So Wu Tang is coming to Denver to a the Fillmore. It holds about 3,000 people.

Most rap shows I've seen, other then the Roots, have been god awful.

Anyways I love Wutang they are my favorite Rap group. Is it worth 35 bucks to see them

Thanks

I saw Method Man and Redman do a show years ago. For a hip-hop concert I was very impressed. It was the only rappers I'd seen live (I was there to see System Of A Down), but they had pits and everything that I didn't expect. With 9 or so members in the Wu, I'm sure they'll put on a show.

I thought they were no longer going to perform together after last year's Rock the Bells concert, so if it's the whole crew (well...all of the living members) I'd go just for the historical relevance of the show...but then I'm a huge hip-hop head, so that probably doesn't matter much to you.

Anyway, I've seen most of them at one time or another with varying results. If it's everyone, I'd go for sure...if it's just a few of the members, I'd find out which ones and then decide.

I saw them about 8 or 9 years ago, and they were well worth the price of admission, which is more than I can say for many other rap performances I've shelled out big bucks to see.

Puff Daddy is good. But WuTang is the greatest.

Definitely go for the show.

Speaking of shows, I wish I had a way to California to see Rock the Bells this weekend. The line-up is utterly astounding... Wu-Tang, Method Man, Redman, De La Soul, Aesop Rock, Del Tha Funkee Homosapien, Immortal Technique, Living Legends, Murs, Mos Def, Talib Kwel...:-L :-L :-L

Maybe if I wish upon a star. O:-)

The best rap concert I've seen was Digital Underground some 10 or so years ago. The place held maybe 300-400 people, and they completely blew the roof off the place.

If all, or at least most, of the Wu are going to be there, I'd definately go for it.
