This deal was great. Abreu is one of the best OFs in the majors, and Lidle will hopefully fill a need, eat some innings and maybe throw a few quality starts (and a few more if we're lucky). These prospects could be good - Smith probably has a few good years in him, Henry could be a good (but not GREAT) major league shortstop (though he has a sub-700 OPS in A-ball this year at 20, so he's got a ways to go), and the other reliever throws gas but is still young. But it's unlikely their value will be so great as to defeat what the Yankees received in return. They've made themselves better without mortgaging the future too much.
