Well everything seems ok on that end. He said he'll be fine and doesn't appear like he's gonna miss any time. I guess it makes sense that he was helped off the field...considering how much something like that hurts. I've been hit in the shin in the past and couldn't walk for a couple of minutes...then the pain subsides and you just have a big bruise.

he's a very good pitching prospect so I hope he gets better from the injury. However, this shouldn't have too much fantasy impact, since he's not good enough right now to be on a team in any league.

A) It was going to be his last batter, Ryan Franklin was already warming up in the pen. Hamels got behind in the count 3-0, the announcers were saying that if he walked the guy he would be taken out.

B) The Phils have a day/night double-header today/tonight so they wanted to use their starter for as long as he could possibly go to save the bullpen for today, especially with Randy Wolf coming off the DL and knowing he wouldn't be able to go very deep into the game.

Hal·la·day, n. 1. every fifth day in Philadelphia. 2. a day of rest for the bullpen. 3. innings eater. 4. doc. 5. ace.
