Well before tonight his stats were:

31.2 IP - 23 H - 12 ER - 6 HR - 8 BB - 34 K - 3.41 ERA


Tonight though he got hammered:

0.1 IP - 5 H - 8 ER - 3 BB - 0 K and now his ERA has ballooned to 5.62

He amazes me, 8 runs and 1 out. You would think he could at least get a few line drives at infielders.

something ever so slightly must be wrong with oliver perez. maybe hes tipping his pitches or something, because when hes on, hes amazing (very rarely i know). i know his control is awful at times, is it just his concentration? whatever it is, hes got the talent to win a cy young and the _______ to be out of professional baseball by next year. (fill in the blank with his problem)

regardless, it was a nice lil pickp for the mets, kid has talent , a lafty, sometimes take longer to put it all together, hopefully he can turn it around shortly
