I snagged him a couple of leagues banking on some SBs. Can't hurt, if he doesn't get the call I'll just drop him. :-[

Based purely on speculation and heresay....I predict Upton will be in the D-Rays starting lineup tonight. Hopefully playing 3B. I picked up Upton and D-Young the day the story broke about them getting a call up soon. I believe the wait is over for Upton. Just waiting for BJ's bat-throwing-buddy to be called up now.

doesn't necessarily mean anything, but---RW says (from st.pete times)

Ben Zobrist is being called up by the Rays to replace Julio Lugo at shortstop.

Zobrist should play regularly for now, making him worth picking up in NL-only leagues. He won't have anywhere near as much value for fantasy purposes as Lugo did, but he should get on base at a decent clip. The Rays could try him at the top of the order, just perhaps not right away.

I was hoping Delmon would get traded with Lugo for a fresh start.

Seriously, folks, why no announcement regarding Upton? My gut says they give Longoria a shot, but whose to say. Longoria could be this years Ryan Zimmerman.

I'm a little confused.

Guzman is a potential stud- a real coup for the Rays. Guzman's natural position is 3b.

With this deal, why bring up BJ to play 3b, when we've got Guzman now?

Hopefully we bring up Guzman soon and move BJ back to his natural position (SS). Maybe bringing him up helps him get the experience he needs to be a solid SS.

YESSSS! I just snagged Upton myself today for some SB help and perhaps to keep him for next year. Hopefully he gets started.

By the way, i HATE the management in Tampa Bay.
