picked him up at ss--will be serious kudos again to cafe if he does come up--crosby had been my main ss this year and I've been auditioning guys ever since the break. If Upton stays up, I can probably deal Pierre or D. Roberts and still stay top 3 SB in the league

Why is this organization such a joke? They act like little kids. I've never seen anything like this. "BJ you might be coming up now, since we did move you over to third so you can play this year, and now that we have no more 3rd basemen, we;re gonna need you...ahhh never mind, you're not coming up HA HA HA...Tomas Perez and Damon Hollins, YOU GUYS ARE STILL STARTING! YAY!"

Yeah, seriously...what are they doing?

I give up

I sucked it up and inserted Upton in my lineup over Cuddyer. I'm in need of SB's badly and I'm banking on him playing this week. :-o

Period.

Everything else is just speculation.

It doesn't matter. If these kids ever get called up (and I'm starting to think it's just not going to happen-ever-with this organization), they will make their peace with their teamates. I'm quite sure the major league team can relate to the beat writer's spin on things.

Watch what happens. They promote someone else. Then they beat writers will goad the boys into saying something else, and it gets printed, and the cycle starts all over again-including the morons on this site that keep pounding the boys without knowing what actually was the context of that discussion.

I told you folks management would pull this. It's almost as if management is paying these beat writers to set these kids up in an effort to keep them down in AAA.

Smiley and rmande-believe me now????????????

The Rays have the absolute worst management in baseball.

Do they have a trading deadline for front office executives and managers? Let's trade Friedman and Madden and a player to be named later-like Damon Hollins to the Red Sox for Epstein and Francona!

rotoworld

B.J. Upton is reportedly on his way to Tropicana Field to join the Devil Rays.

Upton had to be the choice to replace Ty Wigginton, though the Rays weren't happy with his comments to USA Today last week. Expect him to be the primary third baseman for the rest of the season. Wigginton can see action at first base and in right field after he returns from a broken hand.

I've checked their site. Can't find it anywhere.

Yep, the WinPlan won't make a move until he sees a link. I told him last night when I first heard he was being called up and he still didn't believe me.
