He's listed as a SS, but after 5 starts at 3B where he's being called up to play, he'll qualify for SS, 3B, MI, CI and UTIL.

I've been holding him for a few weeks. ;-D

Good news! There is an owner in our keeper league that basically picked up anybody on waivers under 24, so he's been long gone. But I look forward to seeing what B.J. can do in the majors given real PT.

anyone have confirmation on him called up, or a link? I can't find any updates anywhere. I need to set my lineup by 12:30 and would like concrete confirmation before pencilling him in.

Is he playing 3B or SS? And on does he have 3B and/or SS eligibity on Yahoo?

He only has SS eligibility in yahoo right now.

The rumor floating around Durham has been August 1 for Upton's callup for a few weeks now. Plus with the Rays not playing til 7 pm tonight, they would not have to call Upton up early this morning for that late of a game. :-b

Give them time, Upton may already be in flight to Tampa now as we speak. ;-7

Jul 31 The St. Petersburg Times' Damian Cristodero reports Tampa Bay Devil Rays 3B B.J. Upton may get a callup to the parent club now that 3B Ty Wigginton (hand) is on the disabled list, although the team cautioned others will be considered for the job.

Why is this organization such a joke? They act like little kids. I've never seen anything like this. "BJ you might be coming up now, since we did move you over to third so you can play this year, and now that we have no more 3rd basemen, we;re gonna need you...ahhh never mind, you're not coming up HA HA HA...Tomas Perez and Damon Hollins, YOU GUYS ARE STILL STARTING! YAY!"
