Carlos Lee To the Rangers

Postby Don G. » Fri Jul 28, 2006 11:07 am

The Brewers are trading slugger Carlos Lee to the Rangers as part of a multi-player deal, ESPN's Keith Law has learned. The Brewers are sending Lee, Nelson Cruz and a player to be named to Texas for reliever Francisco Cordero and outfielders Kevin Mench and Laynce Nix. Both teams are working on the medicials.

Do you think Cordero will slide into the closers role until Turnbow settles back down? He has got to be a better option than Kolb.

I think his numbers go up - I like the sound of Young - Teixiera - Lee in Arlington

I think Lee's number will go up. Arlington is a hitter's park compares to Miller's but not sure if Cordero just slides into closer role tho. I mean granted he is probably bettter than Kolb and Turnbow now but not much better. I say it is not a garantee at this point. I would say likely, if you have a borderline closer or in need of save I'd say pick him up and see....

I personally will wait to see what the Brewer's will do first....

How about Mench, is he worth picking up in a 12 team league?

i would think hes the everyday LF for the brewers now...

What do you think?
