does anyone know if he is going to pitch next year or is he going to retire?

Recent article in the local paper (StarTrib) said that he will retire at the end of the year. He's pitching through some pain that would require surgery if he were to pitch again next year. He's not interested in going through the rehab for 1 or 2 more years on the mound.
