need a border, and if u make the backround less crazy it wont take as much quality away from the players. font could be better i think as well.

and how do i add a border in gimp?

google search fonts... it's something like Acid Fonts -- I haven't checked in awhile. There's tons of free fonts there.

Not sure about Gimp, but in PS, to add a border, you create a new layer, select all, choose the box tool, right click, select 'stroke' and select the color/opacity/thickness/placement. Good luck! ;-D

Don't worry about ROC, either. He's super critical, given his level of work (or any level of work for that matter). I recommend checking out http://www.good-tutorials.com for varous text/image/background effects that you can try and mix and match. ;-D
