Who will win the NL ROY?

Postby spacehamster01 » Thu Jul 27, 2006 2:03 pm

This hasn't been discussed much at all. There are many candidates up for this award considering there isnt any definite winners unlike the AL ROY, which has really been limited down to 4 specific guys. I made a list of guys I think worthy of the award but I could have missed some.

Wow thats a lot of Marlins

EDIT: Added Barfield and Ethier

Right now I'd bet on Josh Johnson. Andre Ethier should be on that list too.

I'm liking Zimmerman... he's been clutch all year long

Tough to argue against Zimmerman. He's showing maturity beyond his years and hitting very well for a less than spectacular team. Still, my money is on Uggla of the Marlins. He's putting up spectacular numbers for a middle infielder, especially a rook. .300 batting average, nearly 30 dingers and over 100 runs scored if he keeps pace the rest of the way. That's pretty remarkable.

I love Uggla *points to avatar* but I think Zimmerman is gonna give him a run for his money. The guy is clutch as they come.

I also like Zimmerman because I got him with my very last pick in a 14 teamer. Now that's value ;-D

You're forgetting Andre Ethier and Russel Martin. Both will end up with ROY votes.

My bet is either Ethier (say that 10 times fast) or Uggla.

I can't believe Johnson who currently leads the NL in ERA isn't getting more votes. :-?
