Wasn't really a "wild pitch". I saw the game and it was basically his slider in the dirt that got by Ausmus. It wasnt one of his better ones but still the pitch that he struck out most people on last year. Trev Miller only came in because a string of lefties were coming up for Cincy (Griffey, Dunn, Hatteberg).

The (wild) pitch fell a foot short and was well off the plate.
I'm a fan of the Astros too KB8 but will not be fooled by the hope of what once was. Lidge has lost his confidence in presure situations and manager Garner will soon have him watching Wheeler closing out the ninth for the Stros on a regular basis.
