acs, if you want your money to last while you're in Vegas, play craps. It's the most exciting game in a casino. Most casinos give craps lessons in the morning, with one dealer and a closed table.
It's easy, if you keep it simple. Stay away from all the bets in the middle of the table (hardways, etc.) they're all sucker bets. All you do is:
Bet the Pass Line
Take full odds
Make Come bets (also with full odds).
A dealer can explain that to you, if you need him to.
You'll have a great time, and unless you get really unlucky (an ice cold table), your money will at least last a long time. You might even win
Pass Line/Come Line with full odds is almost an even-money bet (virtually no house advantage). The only other bet in the casino that has an extremely low house advantage is playing Blackjack and playing strictly by basic strategy. That would be my other recommendation... smart blackjack.
Stay away from Roulette, slot machines, and funky table games (Carribbean Stud Poker, etc.) House advantage on most of them is huge, as much as 10 percent or more.
Good luck.
