The Cleveland Indians today announced the club has acquired OF SHIN-SOO CHOO and a player to be named from the Seattle Mariners in exchange for 1B BEN BROUSSARD and cash.

Interesting. I've got to wonder why the Mariners want him when they have Sexson and E. Perez at 1B? Another trade in the works, perhaps?

Everett stunk at DH, he will be the platooning DH against right handers just like Broussard and Perez were with the Indians ironically

Seattle designated Everett for assignment today. Perez will probably be the bat off the bench while Broussard plays first, and Sexson DH's

I agree with Idahofan. This is a great move for the Mariners. Its also good to know they are buying.
