Scout.com's Mid-Season Top Prospect List

Postby teddyballgamemvp » Wed Jul 26, 2006 2:06 pm

Some odd rankings to say the least (Rasmus so low doesn't mesh with anyone else, for example).

They actually publish 300 guys, but I only included the Top 200. Frankly, the only use I see for it is a list of guys to track in the minors (to separate out career minor leaguers).

This list sucks.

Gallardo is ranked 253.
Stewart isn't ranked.
Slowey is ranked ahead of Garza.

It's like monkeys throwing (*mod edit*) against the wall.

The Baseball Analysts midseason update is by far the best one

Haha, I agree. Though you won't know how good the list really is until about 5 years................ but yeah, I agree.

Ray Liotta at 154 who has really stunk all year. Hank Conger, drafted out of High School by the Angels and has not really played any minor league games.
THIS LIST IS HORRIBLE.

What do you expect from people who don't even realize Adam Jones isn't a SS anymore? And Jay Bruce at #52 is way too low, IMO.

Ah, another list that just brings on the complaints. Of course going down the list, it just gets more and more random. I don't really care. I'm not going to lose any sleep over a crappy prospect list. Just ignore it...
