I can't wait to see

#1 Gathright (maybe just stays as #9 hitter but I would like DeJesus as a #2)
#2 DeJesus
#3 Butler
#4 Gordon
#5 Shealy

......starting to look pretty solid, still have plenty of holes to fill, especially with SP :-o , but pretty solid none the less!!!

I don't think Shealy will make an impact this year, but I do have him in a long term keeper league and he should develop nicely getting everday playing time with KC. It's too bad they're an offensive black hole.

Dude, Huber has been mishandled and should be starting over Minny. KC has a problem with being overloaded with corner IF. (mainly 1B) Sweeney (over-paid and oft-injured) is coming back, Butler, Gordon, Teahan, Huber, & now Shealy. Add on Minny who could be easily DFA you have a huge log jam.

dude, Huber is trying out in the OF now. Gordon is not getting the call up anytimes soon, Sweeney just got hurt again in rehab(though a minor one), Minny sucks with the bat, there's no telling if Teahen's bat will keep up. If they all pay off, we can still move them around. Shealy will be the DH/1B starting tomorrow ;-D

Well, Shealy has tried playing the OF and couldn't cut it and Butler is a DH and not a great OF. He's blocked by Sweeney. Sanders (should have been moved) is signed through 2007 blocks Butler, Huber has no place in the future KC outfield with Gathright, Dejesus, Butler/Sanders while Sweeney is signed through 2007. Sorry, it doesn't fit unless some moves are made.

Sanders won't be blocking anyone when Butler is ready to come up to the big club (hopefully middle of next year), Sweeney will still just DH with Butler in the OF and Shealy at 1B. No worries here.

hmmm 2007 KC

DH Sweeney
1B Shealy, Huber, Sweeney, Minny
2B German, Teahen
SS Berroa
3B Gordon, Teahen
CF Gathright
RF Dejesus
LF Sanders, Butler, Huber (maybe)

So, they're going to sit Sanders and his contract for Butler or Huber?
Sweeney blocks Butler from rightfully DHing.

Both Sweeney & Sanders are signed through 2007 and are both very expensive.

best case if Sanders and Sweeney (he'll be hurt anyways) if they can be moved...

DH Butler
1B Shealy
2B Teahen/German
SS Berroa
3B Gordon
LF Huber
CF Gathright
RF Dejesus

that sound right???? Good luck moving Sweeney and Sanders without eating most if not all of their contracts. Worries

His 2006 BP 50th percentile was .267 BA/ .339 OBP/ .487 SLG. At 26 years old thats not to bad. Peak I would think .280 BA - 25 HR - .875 OPS.

I personally think shealy has a bigger potential than that. in 04 he slugged 29 HRs with a .584 slugging percentage and then in 05 he had 26 Hrs witha .601 slugging percentage. This year his slugging percentage is down at .559 but he still had 14 Hrs. I think he has a big upside because he has a full year at AAA under his belt. I'll be watching him very closely and will most likely add him the second he shows a hot streak and is plyaing full time...

Finally

Anyone knows if he's going to play everyday??

and would it be a good idea to drop Quentin for him in a non-keeper league??
