Word. That was my first thought, it should happen this week so I grabbed him this past Monday in a keeper league to see where he ends up.

Man, I hope the Royals are able to wrangle him away from Colorado somehow. We need someone besides Mientkiewicz and Sweeney in there!
I never smile if I can help it.... Showing one's teeth is a submission signal in primates. When someone smiles at me, all I see is a chimpanzee begging for its life.

The Rockies turned down an offer of Affeldt from the Royals. They still want to unload Berroa on the Rockies.

I don't want any of that trash, I want something of value for Shealy.

why in the world are we trying to unload Berroa for? I don't personally like him(he's way better than Barmes) but he's not that expensive and the backup plan as far as I know is Andres Blancos, who's hitting a brilliant .215 in AAA Omaha :-t

Way better than Barmes? Lets look at their stats this year:

Barmes: .234, 7 HR, 50 RBI, 5 SB
Berroa: .248, 6 HR, 38 RBI, 3 SB

Barmes isn't a good player, but he's better than Berroa. Berroa is trash and there's absolutely no reason to have him when Tulo is waiting in the wings and Barmes is an ok filler for him until he's ready.

I really don't see how the Royals can get Shealy with the players they are offering.
