1st Half Vs. 2nd Half Performers

Postby Ed Koch » Wed Jul 26, 2006 11:30 am

I've just begun to understand that there are some players who are famous for being better 2nd half performers (Aubrey Huff) and bad 2nd half performers (Paul LoDuca, Mike Lowell).

I've been curious ever since I read the last issue of SI (Reggie Bush cover) and read the baseball insert about players and pitchers whose OPS and ERA improve or decline drastically in their last 5 second halves.

Who are these players? Is this a trend I should research?
Damn you, Randy Johnson.
