Rickie Weeks - 2B - Brewers

Rickie Weeks sat out Tuesday's game and is expected to miss Wednesday's game to rest his sore right wrist.
The Brewers have Thursday off so the team hopes that giving Weeks three days' rest will be enough for the wrist to heal. Chris Barnwell will start at second base while Weeks is out. Jul. 26 - 10:31 am et

He was available to pinch hit today, so I assume he'll be ready to go in no time. :-°

Does anyone know if this has anything to do with the thumb injury from last year?

I know it says its a wrist injury but sometimes old injuries are hidden and the truth doesn't come out until it's too late (I used to this treatment with the Cubs anyway).

Does anyone have any new news or insight?

I don't like wrist injuries at all. I think Weeks power will be cut into when he comes back. Maybe this will force him to run more? Always a silver lining.
