Harold Reynolds FIRED by ESPN

ESPN yesterday fired analyst Harold Reynolds from Baseball Tonight, sources told The Post. The reason was not immediately known.

"We are not going to comment," ESPN VP Josh Krulewitz said.

When asked how they are going to explain that Reynolds will never be on the air again, Krulewitz still declined comment.

Reynolds did not return calls.

Not to rumor-monger, but my guess is that it's something like Michael Irvin's leave of absence-- maybe pot or something. I doubt it has anything to do with his on-air skills.

That's a little strange.
I always thought his brother being an agent and him having access to lots of of insider information was bordering on a conflict of interest.

Wow this is interesting news. I always liked HR and considered him and Ravech the two mainstays of BBTN.

Whatever it was it had to be big because HR was a key part of ESPN and ABC's baseball package. Not only did he do BBTN and Sportscenter work but he was also the main color commentator for the Little League World Series.

Harold was decent usually on BBTN. It will be interesting to see what the reasons were for his departure.
