Sure he hit a dingdong in his first game as an Astro, but after a torrid June and beginning of July with TB, Huff seems to be struggling in Hou: 9 for 37 in 10 games (.243), with 4 RBI and just that one HR. We all believed second half + new locale would = monster numbers for Huff, but so far, it's been anything but. Any thoughts? Is it the new ballpark, new pitchers, new lineup? Should we temper our expectations, or will Huff turn it on again?

Patience is a virtue!! I'm sure he'll be fine. I don't know that I'd expect "Monster" numbers from him, but he should be a solid option.

Huff is essentially a little leaguer. Earlier in the year he couldn't get a hit if you put it on a tee in front of him. I don't find it shocking that after his hot streak he is regressing to where he was earlier in the season

He was just dropped in my league so I picked him up for his 3B eligibility and second half potential, plus MinuteMaid is not a bad park to be hitting in. I have Figgins in that 3B spot and the idea is to platoon Huff and Figgins, depending on whether I need SBs or HR potential in any given week. I have the option of playing both, using Figgins at 2B.

Of course, both of them will likely only do what I want when they're on the bench......

I picked up LaRoche to take over at 1B and benched Huff indefinitely. I'm still holding out hope for his post ASB surge but it better come soon :,-(
