The trade deadline in our keeper league is less than one month away. I am starting to target the best keepers for next year and beyond. I want to see what everyone thought of these rankings by position for next years draft. Please tear these apart and give me your input.

ARam should definitely be ahead of Chipper, especially in a keeper. I'd put Howard ahead of Morneau, and Vlad should be the #1 OF just like he was coming into this season, not sure why you have him so low...
Just from looking off the top of my head you forgot a few players at each position I'd think would be top players...
1B-Fielder over Tex and Konerko?
2B-J.Lopez, R.Weeks (might be on outside looking in)
SS-M.Young (underated IMO)
3B-M.Cab? certainly over Chipper, he's getting old
OF-not too bad of a top 10...although if Soriano is at 2B, I might add A.Jones, Berkman, Holliday, Matsui...
SP-still can't go wrong with the likes of Oswalt, Peavy, Willis, Beckett to name a few...I prefer to go with proven pitchers
RP-look good...

RP 1. Pepelbon 2. Nathan 3. Ryan 4. Rivera 5. F-Rod
C...you should put Ramon Hernandez at 4...you can send Irod off.
1b...you really are kidding me that Berkman is not on the list He is the #3 1b in a keeper imo. And where is Konerko? Howard and Fielder are nice picks also, but Berkman is a proven one man wrecking crew.
2b...Figgins loses 2b elig in most leagues next season. After the first 2, you can pretty much pick em.
SS...Tejada is still no 1. Reyes and Jeter follow.
3b...ARod and Wright are a cut above the rest of the league there.
OF...No way I am takigng Sizemore or Beltran or V. Wells over Vlad even in a keeper.
SP...Santana, Halladay, Zambrano (who is not even listed) are clearly the top 3. Liriano and Weaver and the other unprovens do not get put up above these 3 imo. Bonderman in the top 10?
Posada and Barrett both top Johjima
Gotta agree that Berkman's in the top 5 and Fielder's not near it yet. Don't forget Utley's got 1B eligibility.
Weeks, Hall, FLopez, Roberts all gotta rank above Kendrick
Don't forget Glaus qualifies at SS. Lots of guys I'd put above Lugo--Guillen, Renteria, Hall, Flopez, Young
Cabrera's gotta be in the top 3 3B. ARam wouldn't be on my list. Rolen would.
Berkman and Cabrera have OF eligibility. Although Abreu's having an off season, he's worth a nod.
Bedard's not on the list over Zambrano and Capuano.
Cather: I'd have Hernandez and Barrett over Pudge and Jojima
1B: Don't know how you can write off Tex that easily. He's 26 and has a 40HR season to his name.
2B: I don't think Uggla repeats this season. Soriano will not have 2B eligibility going forward. I'd throw weeks in top 5.
ss: Tejada over Jeter. Like Ramirez going forward. Think you might see Drew in there after next year.
3B: Ummm, Miggy is 23, has 2 30.100 seasons, on his way to another, and is hitting .330 this year. He belongs right up there with Arod and Wright. Chipper has no business int he top 5
OF: would change some of the order around, but decent list. I'd probably include Delmon Young, but he hasn;t done anything yet.
SP: Weaver doesn't belong. Felix does. I love webb, but he needs to be moved down a little due to lower K rate. Carpenter should be higher. Bedard doesn't belong there yet.
RPs: look good. Zumaya may crack that list next yr.
