Looks like Jose Guillen needs TJ surgery.
In a deep, deep keeper league, I'm thinking about trading for him on the cheap. Looking at Rocco and Izturis, it looks like hitters can bounce back much quicker than pitchers.
In the offseason I'm hoping he signs a 1-year deal with a team in a smaller ballpark and plays like a madman w/ something to prove, while aiming to get a multi-year contract.
Am I crazy to think Jose will have a career year next year?

That's how long it takes for pitchers. He's an outfielder. I'm sure he'll be able to come back much sooner than 18 months. He's not trying to throw accurate pitches.
I don't what the time table is for non-pitchers, but it must be less than 18 months.
8 to 18 months. It's guaranteed he won't be ready by training camp. He may return in the middle of the season, but he has at least 8 months (at least until beginning of April).
Look at Durazo. He had TJ surgury at the beginning of the '05 season. He has since been bounced around with, what, 4 or 5 teams this year. Even the Yankees couldn't find a spot for them in their lineup. Guillen will be hard pressed to play next year. I dropped him in my 16 team keeper league when i found out the news.
