They've got great command, but they only throw in the low 90s, which may pass in the minors, but not the majors.

Ditto, great control and deception alone may be effective in the minors, but not nearly as much in the majors.
Galt....I recently picked up Slowey in my dynasty league. How much do you know about him?If any, what type of pitcher is he projeted to be? Thanks

(His last outing in Albuquerque was pretty good, 'though he didn't get the W.)

he was never top 10 prospect in all of baseball material, I think he'll do okay as a mid-end rotation type with his delivery. Ace stuff? not close.

To the Felix Pie ranking....He is a five tool guy, that will definately play next year in KC, in AAA so far he is hittin 275, 9HR, 11SB.....those are nice numbers...I think he will be up for rookie of year....I would take Votto off my list now that Hatterberg signed a 1 year extension....so, my replacement for Votto is.......Matt Garza

Matt Garza/Nelson Cruz

Postby hoopitup21212 » Sat Jul 29, 2006 10:58 pm

Is Matt Garza top ten material?? Anyone have any good predictions on this kid or what he has done so far in the Twins minor league system. Just curious also on whether he can make the top 10 on not. Same with Nelson Cruz chances with the Rangers, they might give him his at bats; however what will he pan out to be?

Garza is top ten material, the Twins will problably call him up within the next 2 weeks. He's been dominent this year as he's moved throught the Twins system. 142k's in 123 IP this season to go with a 13-4 record.
Cruz has hit well in AAA, but he is a liitle old for AAA. I can't see him being anything more then a journeymen outfielder. Someone you might consider in AL only league if you have a really deep league.

Thanks for filling me in. I picked up Cruz yesterday kind of surprised he was still in the Fast. Just like some say Cruz was very overshadowed in the Carlos Lee trade, being that Lee attracted the attention.
