He's unlikely to be up next season, but sometime in '08 is a good possibility.

By prima donna attitude, I mean he shows up to play when he wants. He feels he should be up in higher levels and has voiced his displeasure. He doesn't play hard - scouts at the Futures Game said they couldn't tell if he was a plus runner because he never ran hard during the game.

I guess he showed some unreal power during BP, hitting a bunch of balls into the river in over the right field wall in Pittsburgh.

I wasn't challenging you, I just figured that cooking in a bus 2-3 hours a day would be pretty humbling.

I'm blinded by the emoticons. Are you a girl or are you 14?

I hear you. I hate those stupid things. I'm not proud of the fact that I have over 4000 posts at a fantasy baseball site, but I am proud that I've gone emoticon free.

Has everyone completely soured on the Marlins' Yusmiero Petit as a prospect? He seemed to be nearing the top of many lists at the beginning of the season. Did 1/2 season of so-so pitching in AAA drop his stock that much?

(His last outing in Albuquerque was pretty good, 'though he didn't get the W.)

I compare him to Kevin Slowey, who is putting up probably the best numbers in the minors this year, but people just don't like him. His success in the minors is apparantly not going to transfer over as well to the majors.

They've got great command, but they only throw in the low 90s, which may pass in the minors, but not the majors.

Ditto, great control and deception alone may be effective in the minors, but not nearly as much in the majors.
