Next year, I think Teix will be this years Hafner -- the monster slugger people stayed away from early because of question marks, but ends up paying off huge when he slips to round 4 or later. It'll be interesting to see where he typically goes. Historically, there's really nothing unusual about even the best hitters going through prolonged slumps (even when young). What makes them great is that they don't get discouraged and break out of it.

He burned me bad this year, but I'm planning on gambling on him next year if he falls past the mid 3rd.

A ton of hitters made massive comebacks this year and I want in on that action next year.
Let's go O's. Let's go Mets.

I would still take Teix in the 1st or 2nd Rd no doubt about it. The guy normally will hit .280 40+ 100+.

I guess he's pretty comparable to Beltran at this point...and Beltran didn't fall that far...17th overall in my league, ahead of Utley, Young and Bay.

tex had 23 hr and 70 rbi in the 2nd half of '05. (i think)

doubtful that he reaches those kinds of numbers, but as an owner of him for the past 3 seasons i know that he is a 2nd half player. he has 2 months left to dazzle us. he is up to 17, if he gets hot he can hit 12 in a month to approach 30 and 115rbi.

not 1st round numbers, but not a total wash season either.

lets go tex! ;-D

also, he is killing it with doubles this year. the guy has a crapload of them.
Vaughn: What's that sh*t on your chest?

Harris: Crisco, Bardol, Vagisil. Any one of them will give you another two to three inches drop on your curve ball.
