He signed a 5 year, $47 M dollar contract with the Blue Jays in the offseason... aside from that, what else is there?

:-?

I don't understand this one.

Are you a personal friend of him? Did he insult you or said something bad against your mother to write this thread?

Cause i'm looking at his stats and i want to tell you that if you find anything wrong with him, then drop him... espacially if you're in my league... where i have the #1 waiver priority!

douche, he hasn't been playing lately. I was wondering if something was up. Anyone that isn't feeling sarcastic please let me know why he hasn't been in lately

If you know your baseball you will notice that when your team has a 4 runs lead in the ninth, this is not a save situation. So it's useless to send your closer in.

And since your avatar shows a jays logo... i guess you already know what i just wrote above.

Right? Tell me that you already knew that please!

I've gotta hand it to the Jays this year -- they have used Ryan brilliantly, kind of in a Sabermatic way. He has gone over one inning 13 TIMES this season. That's rare territory for a closer. Compare that to K-Rod, another elite closer, who has done it 4 times.

The downside is that there are more occasions where he isn't available on consecutive night. That might hurt his SV total. But he blows so few that it's a wash.
