Os, Pettitte and Peavy - I think I've suffered enough. Can I please have a pitcher get through a start without giving up 7 runs in 5 innings? Is that too much to ask? Apparently.
Its's unbelievable how few wins Oswalt has this season. His ERA and WHIP are right in line with what we expect, but he gets about 2 runs of support every game - if you look at his game log, there's at least 6 games on there where he pitched well enough for an easy victory.

Why not? You can probably get him cheaper than you should. His ERA before today was 3.22 and despite the declining K rate the past few years he's pitched very well. He should have at least 5 more wins. I'm not sure why you anyone wouldn't want him.
Oswalt has pitched as well as he has in the past. However, his value this year is so much lower because of his lack of wins, and with the awful Astros offense I dunno if he will even "get back on track" and win that many games down the stretch, especially with a hurt Berkman now, and Lidge who might blow one of his potential wins
