That's been a rumor for the last six months. Zito stays. He just signed with Scott Boras so that's jacked his price for next year so he is a rental for sure. With Harden out the a's need him this year if they plan on finishing the season in first.

i really dont see the a's trading away their ace with harden on the dl and they are leading the al west (not by much, but they are leading)

A team is gonna have to overpay a lot to get Zito right now and I don't think it's gonna happen with the A's in the playoff race.
