i would compare Cam to a poor mans (actually middle class mans) CC with more power. Only downside is his BA but aside from that he gives you both speed an power numbers how many guys do you know gets you the amount of HR and RBI while giving you healthy number of steals? very few can do what he's doing only person i see doing that right nowis CC and he was drafted in most leagues 1st round or early 2nd...cam is available in most leagues til now wow.

OK, I'm convinced. In both my H2H leagues I dropped JD Drew for Cameron. His average has never been great, but my leagues count OPS and BBs. But when healthy he produces in every cat but AVG -- if he can keep it above 0.250 he looks like a good 3rd/4th OF option.

My dissatisfaction with my OFers has caught the attention of the 1st place team (I'm in 3rd). He offered me a "great" deal: his Dunn and Granderson for my Hafner and Verlander. Somehow, I don't think I'll need the Cafe's insight to know what to do with that one :-b

Cameron came up limping on a play and although he made a nice running attempt on a fly ball in the next half inning, he was pulled from the game in the 8th inning.

I'd watch out people. I watched Cameron for a long time while he was in Seattle.

He is a very streaky player. He can be hot one month and then cold the next!

He also strikes out a lot lowering his OB%

Streaky yes, for sure, but he'll definitely get hot and produce. I wouldn't count one game as the streak being over....he has had a few days like that mixed in his hot streak.

Look at his last 6 healthy seasons:
R HR RBI SB OBP
1999 93 21 66 38 .357
2000 96 19 78 24 .365
2001 99 25 110 34 .353
2002 84 25 80 31 .340
2003 74 18 76 17 .344
2004 76 30 76 22 .319

I was going to pick him up, but I believe his knee is bothering him now. Be careful if you pick him up.
